UpWiz Terms of Service

Hey there! Thanks for using UpWiz, our handy Chrome/Edge browser extension designed to make your Upwork job search way easier with AI summaries and smart ratings (we’ll call this the “Service”).

These are our Terms of Service (“Terms”). By using UpWiz, you’re agreeing to these terms, so give them a quick read!

1. What’s UpWiz All About? UpWiz helps you:

  • Get super-short AI summaries of long Upwork job posts.
  • See a cleaner, simpler view of Upwork jobs.
  • Rate jobs so our AI can learn what you like and give you personalized match scores (this is our “Smart Rating System”).
  • Understand why a job got a certain score.

We’ve got a few ways to use UpWiz:

  • Free Goodies: Everyone gets AI job summaries and the clean view, no strings attached!
  • Basic Plan: Want to try the Smart Rating System? Sign up with your email – it’s free for now! You can rate up to 100 jobs a month with this plan.
  • PRO Plan: For unlimited ratings and all the bells and whistles, you can subscribe to our paid PRO plan.

Heads up: All our plans, including what’s free and what’s paid, might change in the future. I’m a one-person team, and things evolve!

2. Your UpWiz Account (For Basic & PRO) If you sign up for Basic or PRO, please give us accurate info and keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens with your account.

3. Playing Fair – Your Responsibilities

  • Use UpWiz like a good human – for finding jobs, not for sketchy stuff.
  • Respect Upwork’s own rules when you’re using UpWiz with their site.
  • Don’t try to break UpWiz, copy it, or mess with how it works.
  • Remember, UpWiz is a third-party tool. We’re not part of Upwork, and you use UpWiz at your own risk.

4. Our Stuff & Your Stuff (Intellectual Property)

  • Our Stuff: The UpWiz extension, its design, logos, AI magic, and all its content belong to us. Please don’t copy or sell it.
  • Your Stuff: Your professional bio, job ratings, and notes are yours. But, by using UpWiz, you let us use this info to make the Smart Rating System work for you and to improve UpWiz.

5. PRO Plan Payments If you go PRO:

  • You agree to pay the subscription fee.
  • We use trusted payment processors (they handle your card details, not us).
  • Subscriptions usually renew automatically unless you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime, and it’ll stop at the end of your current billing period.
  • Generally, payments are non-refundable unless the law says otherwise or we decide to.
  • Prices might change, but we’ll give you a heads-up.

6. Saying Goodbye (Termination)

  • We can suspend or stop your access if you break these terms.
  • You can stop using UpWiz whenever you like. If you want to delete your account info, just let us know.

7. The “No Guarantees” Bit (Disclaimers) UpWiz is provided “as is.” We do our best, but we can’t promise it’ll always be perfect, uninterrupted, or totally error-free.

  • AI is smart, but it’s not psychic! Summaries and ratings are suggestions, not gospel.
  • Just to be super clear: UpWiz is NOT part of Upwork. We’re an independent tool to help you out.

8. Our Limits (Limitation of Liability) If something goes wrong while you’re using UpWiz, we (and our team) won’t be liable for major damages or losses (like lost profits or data), unless the law absolutely requires it. Our total liability to you will be limited to what you’ve paid us in the last 6 months for the PRO plan, or $50, whichever is more.

9. Covering Us (Indemnification) If something you do while using UpWiz causes legal trouble for us, you agree to cover our costs.

10. The Legal Details

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey.
  • If we change these Terms significantly, we’ll try to give you a heads-up. Continuing to use UpWiz after changes means you accept them.
